Katrina: I am not competing with Kareena

Katrina Kaif Asked to comment on tabloid speculation that she is competing with Kareena Kapoor to become the highest paid actress in Bollywood, Katrina Kaif said 'such comparisons are not right.'

In a long winded response that would make a British politician proud, Katrina told Time Now TV:

"I think I still have a long way to go to garner a body of work like that of Kareena's. She is a fantastic actress and she has been here for at least six years before me. She is a superbly talented person and I think these kind of comparisons are not right. She is far more senior to me."

We think Katrina was being more generous than she should have been because we can't imagine Kareena ever saying 'She is a superbly talented person' when talking about Katrina!

Coming to think of it we cannot imagine ourselves ever saying that about Katrina.

But that could be because we are out of synch with Bollywood.

According to the Mumbai Mirror Katrina is being offered whopping Rs 4.5 crore to replace Jiah Khan in Ken Ghosh's Next. That is Rs 1 crore more than the highest paycheck Kareena has been offered and Rs 0.5 crore more than the paycheck Aishwarya will get for Robot.

Now that is going to give the Kapoor motor mouth a lot of sleepless nights.
